Some science fiction (sci-fi) films and TV are set in space. They give us a hypothetical look on what life could be if we have reached the point we could travel to outer space and interact with extraterrestrial beings. Here are the top five sci-fi series for 2019 set in outer space.

Star Trek: Discovery

This is the prequel to the Original Series (Captain Kirk, et.al.) centered on the crew of the starship USS Discovery. This is set decades before Captain Kirk and company embarked on their Five-Year Mission. What makes this series unique is the central character is not a captain but the First Officer – Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green). In the second season, things got more interesting with the appearance of the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount). Other cast members
